God's Work Continues

Yesterday we had a great Ladies' Bible Study from Isaiah 61 at The Hawkins home. It was a great time of sharing and prayer. GOd is fantastic!

A huge, exciting surprise was the great turnout for the After School Program! This program in the Church Hall was geared at Primary SChool age children and younger, and there were 18 children who attended, as well as some of their families. The kids enjoyed songs and movement from LFBC VBS dvds led by Dempsey and Jace. Chris taught a totally interactive version of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Damon Hawkins led out in Scripture reading adn introductions. Joel Hawkins led our prayer. And the kids had a blast with the soccer pencils and pads, as well as the yummy goodie skewers and the chocolate fountain. God truly blessed the connections and I believe we will see fruit in days to come.

Last night we had a wonderful time at the New Disciples Study, where Chris led out about Believers' basics such as baptism, Bible Study, prayer, and attendance in a local, Bible based church. There was a great crowd and we know that God will continue to grow these new disciples through their local church and encourage us all to grow deeper.

Prayer Points: Please pray for our family, as three of the four of us are ill-- our flights out are tomorrow. Pray Jace is able to fight it off and stay well.
Continue to pray hard as many in the community and church family are very ill. There was a huge outbreak of sickness beginning Wednesday.
Please pray that even our final connections here and farewell dinner would be blessed.
Pray that the Saturday Night concert tomorrow after our departure would be fruitful and continue the passion and harvest.
Pray for new christians who are experiencing difficult times. Pray that they will hunger and thirst for righteoussness and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Pray God's continued blessings on The Point Christian Fellowship and Chrsitians in Beaconsfield, Exeter, and Beauty Point. They have shared their homes, their lives, and the hearts with us, and we are so grateful.

WOW!

The last couple of days have been full of amazing , unexpected opportunities to share. The kids were able to meet lots of children at the schools and Chris and I were able to make some connections while visiting the shops in the center of town. AMazing!

The morning tea at Gwen and Peter Dohnt's was a great time. There was beautiful food and even more beautiful faces, as we shared about God's invitations. It was a sweet time, and I was blessed to be part of this ladies' gathering.

The day was full of upheaval with Dempsey and Chris' trip to the doctor and several other unexpected events, but God continued to work, though things for us were difficult. Your prayers were felt throughout tonight's Family and Community Night. Chris was able to sing and preach, despite his ear infection and cough. Jace distributed his scripture cards among the crowd in the church Hall, and as God promises, His word did not return void. Jace and Chris shared in song, I led worship and special with Craig including John and Carolyn Landers' song "I Know" and Chris Tomlin's "I Will Rise" and "My Deliverer is Coming".

Chris and I shared about being a light in our homes and community from Ephesians and Matthew 5. It was overwhelming as we looked at over twenty faces from throughout the community, sharing about being in light in darkness. WE are grateful for the Christians her and their commitment to be salt and light. At the close of the service, God drew another soul into His kingdom!

God continues to use the materials, the visits, and the encounters to show Himself to be real!

Prayer Points: Keep lifting up our family and those around us , as we suffer from many ailments.
Continue to remember the materials we are distributing.
Pray for tomorrow's Ladies' Bible Study, After School Program for children, and New Disciples Study.
Pray that our newest believers would have strength to stand against the devil's schemes and stand strong.
Pray that we will encourage the body of believers here. They are encouraging us!

The Latest

WoW! It has been a whirlwind couple of days. We have met some great people, seen a great impact, and had some great ministry opportunities.

The Men's Dinner was a great success! There were about 24 men in attendance sharing about the men who had an impact in their lives and hearing about how God can change the lives of ordinary. Many great connections were made and several showed interest in learning more about a relationship with Jesus Christ and being discipled.

Youth Night--WOW! Over 20 youth showed up to play crazy games, eat yummy pizza and enjoy a pepsi, and hear about Jesus, our True Hope. The evening was full of laughter and a huge kickoff for the new youth group at Point Christian Fellowship. Several came to know Jesus as Savior after Chris and Dempsey shared about their friend, Jesus. WE are excited about the future God has for this youth group!

We were blessed to be able to share in music and Message in Sunday Morning with Westbury Baptist Church. How amazing to share in Communion with church members from across the world. Chris' voice was almost completely gone by the end of the message, but it held on long enough fore the sermon about God's purpose for the Church.

Sunday Evening brought lots of fun! Dempsey and Jace shared evangelism bracelets and the God's Love book with Mission Friends/ CIA. We were able to sing with the new worship band at the Point Christian Fellowship. Heather and Rachelle sang Healer and Diana, Heather, and Rachelle sang Jesus Messiah. CIA/ Mission Friends shared in One True God amd Dempsey and Jace sang "Prayin' Man". We enjoyed worshipping the Lord with the praise band and sharing communion with our sister church, as well. Chris shared from his heart from the scripture about The Body of Christ. We were blessed that The Holy Spirit drew two more to Jesus, as they accepted Him as Savior!

We are blessed to see God at work as new ministries continue to arise this week, and people are answering His call to salvation. We just stand back and watch the power of the Holy Spirit and His Word at work. Most of the folks who have accepted Christ have attended numerous gatherings during our stay here. Would you please continue to pray as we finish our week full of gatherings?

Prayer Points: Pray that new believers will seek discipleship.
Pray that God will continue to raise up leaders for community ministries.
Pray that those without the hope of Jesus will be attracted to gatherings, and will want to know more about Jesus.
Pray for more divine appointments.
Pray for upcoming events: After SChool Club, New Disciples Bible Study, Family Night, Farewell Party, Ministry Visits, Ladies' "Invitations Tea", distribution of Bibles, evangelism braceets and Bible Study material, Ladies' Thursday a.m. Bible Study.

Thank you! You are on the mission field with us! Thank you for praying for both the seed and the harvest!--- Heather
